Hoisin and Ginger Spareribs

Delicious and succulent spareribs marinated in a flavorful blend of hoisin, ginger, and other Asian-inspired ingredients, grilled to perfection for a mouthwatering barbecue experience.

Ingredients:

  • 2 racks of pork spareribs
  • 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions:

Preheat the barbecue or grill to medium-high heat

In a bowl, mix hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, grated ginger, minced garlic, Chinese five-spice powder, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade

Cut the spareribs into individual ribs and place them in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish

Pour the marinade over the ribs, ensuring they are well-coated

Seal the bag or cover the dish, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best flavor

Remove the ribs from the marinade and let them come to room temperature while you preheat the barbecue

Grill the ribs for 20-30 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with the leftover marinade until the ribs are caramelized and cooked through

Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving
