Orange Cloud Pancakes



These fluffy and citrusy pancakes are like biting into a cloud of sunshine. The fresh orange juice and zest add a burst of flavor to your morning breakfast. Perfect for a leisurely brunch or a special treat.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 cup whipped egg whites
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar for dusting
  • Orange slices for garnish

Instructions:

In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt

In another bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, orange juice, orange zest, and melted butter

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined

In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form

Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the pancake batter

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly grease with cooking spray or butter

Pour 1/4 cup portions of the batter onto the skillet to form pancakes

Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on both sides

Dust the pancakes with powdered sugar and garnish with orange slices

Serve hot and enjoy!
