Gulab Jamun Dessert Parfait Royal Diwali Treat
Indulge in the richness of Gulab Jamun and the aromatic flavors of saffron, cardamom, and rose in this delightful dessert parfait. Perfect for celebrating Diwali with a touch of royalty!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Gulab Jamun store-bought or homemade
- 2 cups Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup whipped cream
- 1/4 cup chopped pistachios
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
- 1/4 cup rose syrup
- 1 tablespoon saffron strands
- 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 1 tablespoon honey
- Edible rose petals for garnish
Instructions:
Crumble the Gulab Jamun into small pieces
In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt with whipped cream until well combined
Add cardamom powder and saffron strands to the yogurt mixture and mix again
In serving glasses, layer the crumbled Gulab Jamun at the bottom
Drizzle rose syrup over the Gulab Jamun layer
Add a layer of the saffron and cardamom-infused yogurt mixture
Sprinkle chopped pistachios and slivered almonds over the yogurt layer
Repeat the layers until the glasses are filled, finishing with a dollop of whipped cream on top
Drizzle honey over the whipped cream and garnish with edible rose petals
Chill the parfaits in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving
